Ultrasound
Can
reduce pain and spasm by producing heat from a probe. It promotes an increase of circulation to relax tight muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons.
Electrical Stimulation (EMS)
Uses varied electric currents through superficial probe or pad placement causing muscles to contract and relax. It can be used for pain relief, muscle spasm and swelling, as well as muscle re-education, strengthening, and to facilitate healing.
Moist Heat (Hydrocollator)
Produces deep heat that increases circulation, reduces swelling, and relaxes muscles and soft tissues. It is very comforting.
Cryotherapy (Cold/Ice)
We use ice packs to reduce pain, swelling and spasm. Ice is a great natural analgesic.
Rehabilitative Exercise
While your injury or condition is healing and you are able to safely begin exercise, we will implement a specific rehabilitative exercise protocol to start stabilizing and/or strengthening your system. You will be given exercises to strengthen weakened tissues, stretch tight and overactive muscles, activate inhibited and dormant muscles, re-enforce proper movement patterns (eliminating your propensity to return to your old ways), and improve balance – a vital component from walking to running for the entire global network. The doctors have been trained in many forms of exercise assessment using the
Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and The Prague School, as well as the standards set by the American College of Sports Medicine. If you have a trainer, we will work him/her to improve your overall performance and get you back in the game.
