Dr. Wayne Winnick has been in practice since 1982 serving patients in the tri-state area and specialty cases from around the world. He attended Boston University and went on to do his graduate work at the New York Chiropractic College. He has done postgraduate work in sports medicine and back pain at Harvard. He also studied in China, where he learned Eastern methods for dealing with orthopedic conditions and a unique approach to the treatment of scar tissue and pain. He continues to attend postgraduate programs and seminars to stay abreast of the newest advances in physical medicine. The emphasis of treatment is to zero in on the cause of your condition. Dr. Winnick has also served as an editor for "The Journal of Myofascial Therapy." Dr. Winnick has successfully treated people from all over the world and serves as one of the doctors for the New York City Marathon and the New York Mets. He is board certified in Sports Medicine, Active Release Technique® and Graston Technique®
Dr. John Schneider was graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1998. Dr. Schneider completed a six-month internship with Dr. Michael Leahy, the inventor of Active Release Technique®. He co-authored "Active Release Techniques for the Cervical Spine" with Dr. Leahy in Conservative Management of Cervical Spine Syndromes, by Dr. Donald Murphy. Dr. Schneider is a lead instructor for Active Release Technique®. He is board eligible for his diplomate in chiropractic rehabilitation. Dr. Schneider is a consultant for teams in the National Football League,National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer. He also treats a variety of other athletes from world class sprinters, elite triathletes, to professional wrestlers in the WWE. Dr. Schneider's desire to provide innovative and world class treatment is widely acknowledged. He joined Dr. Winnick and Associates in 1999.
Dr. Leon Aibinder, born in the former Soviet Union had emigrated to the United States in 1981. He was graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1998 receiving a BA in biology. Being interested in sports medicine and health care he enrolled in the doctorate program at New York Chiropractic College and was graduated in 2001. He has continued his post graduate education by attending a range of symposiums and clinical programs in Active Release Technique®, Graston Technique®, Nimmo-Receptor Tonus Technique®, and Society of Weight Training Injury Specialists. Dr. Aibinder is a trained Certified Sports Conditioning Specialist. Dr. Aibinder is board certified in Active Release Technique®, practicing from 2001 and Graston Technique®. Dr. Aibinder's desire to excel in all areas of manual medicine and rehabilition keeps him at the leading edge of his specialty. He joined Dr. Winnick and Associates in September 2002.
Chris Knapp, L.M.T. graduated SUNY at Buffalo in 1993 with a BA in Psychology. He began his post graduate education at the Swedish Institute where he received his degree of certification. Chris has since attended many seminars in manual medicine and sports therapy in the last 8 years. He is board cerified in Active Release Technique®. Chris has been a critical part of Dr. Winnick and Associates since 1995 treating professional athletes as well as the weekend warrior. Recently, he developed a seminar teaching the integrated approach used at Dr. Winnick and Associates.
